Denmark: Pay limit scheme minimum salary level to be increased

Foreign nationals must earn at least DKK 400,000 per year to qualify for a residence and work permit under the Pay Limit scheme if the work and residence permit application is submitted on or after June 10, 2016. Applications submitted prior to June 10 will be subject to the current DKK 375,000 threshold.

Thailand: Shorter processing times for regular work permit applications

Work Permit applicants with pre-work permit approval letters will see a reduced processing time of three to four business days instead of the current three to seven business day time frame. 

Macau: Labour Affairs Bureau and Human Resources office to merge

The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) and the Human Resources Office (GRH) are merging May 28, 2016, according to a government announcement.  The joint department will register job vacancies on its public web portal and process work permit applications, which were previously separate responsibilities.

Czech Republic: Fast Track programme quota almost exceeded

The Fast Track program quota has almost been reached (there are 15 spaces remaining).  The Ministry of Industry and Trade accepts 100 applications for the program and the quota is expected to be met in July or August.
