Vietnam: Work permit policy changes

A new short-term Work Permit exemption, faster work permit processing times, additional supporting document requirements for some foreign workers and other changes related to Work Permit applications have been announced by a Decree issued by the Ministry of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA).  The Decree is expected to take effect April 1, 2016, however, details and implementation plans for the new policies remain subject to change.

Indonesia: New online permit application system launched

Due to the introduction of a new Limited Stay Permit (KITAS) online application portal, Limited Stay Permit applicants should expect processing delays during the next few weeks. Eventually, the online system is expected to streamline the KITAS application process.

Turkey: Shutdown of online system delays residence permit processing

The online residency permit system has been down since last week for technical upgrades, preventing applicants from scheduling appointments or submitting initial or renewal residency permit applications. 

There is no indication of when the system will be functioning.
